Tapa designs with Mrs Trolle'

This week we have had Mrs Trolle' in our class to help us with our tapa cloths. We got to create our own designs and draw them onto A2 paper before going over it with vivid and painting it with Indian ink. Then we draped wet teabags over one side to give it a better effect. On the other side of the tapa, we did a contemporary side which included lots of bright colours.

School Cross

This week our school placed a concrete cross sculpture in the front of the school next to the road. The cross is there to represent our schools catholic character. Keep an eye on it as you drive past over the next few days as more tiles get added. When its finished and you drive by at night you will see it lit up with lights.

Softball Training

Softball with Marty

Today we had our last day of Softball training. Marty from Softball Nelson has been teaching us a few skills over the last couple of days. We have learnt how to catch, throw and hit a ball properly. He taught us a dance to remember how to use the first skills.
Today we got to play a game of softball. We all felt pretty good as everyone managed to hit the ball!
